Review: s4bb Ziplorer for Blackberry

ziplorer.png

It’s J. Coop again and this time I am doing a review on Ziplorer. The BlackBerry Developers at S4BB has created a monster application. It’s interesting how Ziplorer doesn’t get much recognition.. Why? We don’t know but it’s an application that deserves to be recognized and not overlooked. Moving right into the review.

Since the BlackBerry is used by most business professional it’s without a doubt zipping and unzipping of files is a needed option. I’m in High School still so needless to say unzipping files - I don’t have need unless the MobiShark crew is sending me something. With Ziplorer you have this option. Ziplorer is available the with use of 7130, 8100, 8300, 8700 and 8800 series. It’s recommended that your BlackBerry handheld OS be 4.2 or higher. The process of zipping files with this use of this tool is very easy. However, without first reading the manual you could run into a few perplexing questions in regards to it’s use. If you familiar with any of compressing software such as PKZIP, WINZIP..etc then Ziplorer will make sense (again read the manual)

“Research” in Motion?

We just got an interesting email that came through our inbox from our Presidio Matrix Corp executive that we interviewed a few days back about why he carries both an iPhone and a BlackBerry device.

We aren?t too sure if possibly he woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning or if he just has the proverbial ?thorn in his posterior?, but he seems to have gone off on a little rant about Research In Motion, even stating that their name is very appropriate.
Here is the email:

Okay, so I just got done viewing the webinar presentation for the new BlackBerry 4.1 Service Pack 5 Enterprise Server.

The information has been out for a good while now on what all it will include, but I figured I would log in anyways to see if any new information would be included.

HTML Email: Great
Free/Busy Lookup: Great
New Admin Features: Great

To the naked eye, it would appear that on the 29th when this new Service Pack is rolled out, it will be the monster to deal with.

Except for one thing. (more…)

BBsmart

Hi, It’s me again Justin Cooperman, one of MobiShark’s official BlackBerry Bloggers. Recently we wrote a review about Empower and BBSmart and wanted to follow-up with you guys on the results. We are going to start with Empower, I personally don’t like the fonts and background on Empower but I guess its “personal preference”. Empower is very easy to use you just scroll up and down on you BlackBerry. Empower takes a little bit to load and of my BlackBerry. I don’t know if it is just taking a while or the images are just not showing, I have waited a minute. Otherwise its look pretty similar to my regular email on my computer. OK, next lets go on to BBSmart html viewer. OK so BBSmart is very cool, its ask you what type of network you are on and its also loads the images unlike Empower where I couldn’t get the images to come up. It has more of a business feel to it. It has a status bar that shows actually progress as content loads. All and all I prefer BBSmart over Empower. However, the choice is yours!

Cheers!
